Environmental protection matters greatly to DZ BANK. We want to use natural resources as efficiently as possible in our operations and we have adopted one single climate strategy for the whole DZ BANK Group.
Curbing climate change and conserving natural resources
We are promoting environmental protection in our core business, for example by financing undertakings in the renewables sector. But in addition, we also take great care to make our own business more environmentally friendly by systematically reducing our use of limited resources.
We want to minimize our impact on the environment at our offices as much as possible. Our engagement in this area ranges from efficient building technology and green travel to sustainable purchasing and end-to-end management of resources and waste.
Protecting our planet’s climate is one of the greatest challenges of our time. In order to prevent exposure to climate risks, we engage actively with our stakeholders and use the environmental targets of the German federal government as a guideline for our group-wide climate strategy.
